Yes4G android smartphone - ALTITUDE

In my previous post, I had compare on Yes4G smartphone Altitude and eclipse, with both hardware specification, price and items in box. Today post will mainly focus on the operating system and apps pre-install in the Yes4G Altitude android smartphone.

This Yes4G Altitude android smartphone come as light weight and clean design, only two physical button - volume button and power button; home and back button was build inside OS, locate at bottom, operate in touch screen area.

Like any others android smartphone, Yes4G Altitude come with build in Google apps like Gmail, Maps, Drive, Play Music, Hangouts, YouTube, Voice Search, Google Setting and Play Movie.

In Android 5.1.1, it removed android native browser, but set chrome as default browser.

Unlike other brand like Samsung smartphone build in with many Samsung in house app, this Yes4G Altitude smartphone only offer MyYes4G as in house app, then JOOX and ServisHero as entertainment and productivity app.

Unfortunately, once start the MyYes4G app, it tell user the app has outdated and require update via Google Play, after click OK button access to Google Play store, it display item not found.... Wahaha... Yes4G dare to offer an in house app without support.

The rest was system information screenshoot from about phone...

Myself had use this phone for two day, enable Hotspot to share internet access. What I found out was this 2300mAh battery did a good job, it provide around 6 hours usage time. I recharge it when battery level reach 15%, with entire phone power off, it told around 2 hours to full charged, but with phone power on, it told around 2 hours and 30 minutes to full charged.

Personally I would like to remind reader, currently Yes4G didn't have network tower as much as others telco, apps like Maps or Waze require location services mostly rely on phone GPS and it will consume a lot of battery power, and the phone must stay outdoor for searching satellite. Hmmm, this issue had brought from Yes4G first smartphone - eclipse - till now...

Wait, Yes4G did have improvement: their no longer build in WiMax chipset as medium provide Internet access, but using LTE technology, which user stay inside building also have connectivity not only access to Internet, also able receive incoming call and make outgoing call.

Final word before ending this post, even this Yes4g Altitude not support OTG function, not support DLNA service... It still worth of it price for basic entry user - RM399.
