Before subscript any broadband service, sure I will check from the service provider home page, see my location under coverage or not. In this case, it show perfect coverage! but wait, how about inside building?
In early stage, I am using USB broadband modem to online, picture below show the different location with different signal strength.
At front of the building, broadband signal show strong! when come to my bed room (cum study room at back), it only give poor signal. Is this because of front part of the house have more open space, back of the house block by many wall and ceiling? In my case, this is a single story house.
What I did to solve this problem: buy a wireless router that have USB port and compatible with my USB broadband modem, place it at living room (location 1 in above floor plan). By using wireless router, mobility device such as smartphone, tablet PC, iPone, iPad, laptop, netbook... able to connect and online within router's wireless range.
I mounted 20 meter network cable from router to my study room, not using wireless, make all my study resource always reachable from my laptop, and connection speed more stable.
